Email updates
Get told, by email
The moment Zack becomes a dad, an email lands in your inbox. Or, if you have a taste for anticipation, one every morning until then.

Two speeds
Only when it happens
Real news only. You will hear when labour starts, when the answer becomes YES, and if there is a false alarm. Realistically two or three emails, ever.
Every day, tell me no
Everything above, plus a short, dry update every morning at 09:00 UTC until it's a yes. Then a week of "dad day" updates, a farewell, and silence. A sample:
Day 47: still no.
The nappies remain in their packaging, blissfully unaware of what is coming.
The fine print
- Double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email.
- One-click unsubscribe in every email, including the fancy RFC 8058 kind your mail app shows at the top.
- We store the address and your choice of speed. That's it. Unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 7 days.
- Unsubscribed addresses are kept for 30 days, so the resubscribe button works, then deleted from this site's database.
- Emails come from stork@iszacka.dad. Add it to your contacts if you'd hate to miss the big one.
Rather not hand over an email address? There are push notifications, webhooks, feeds and a DNS record on the everything page. Or email ask@iszacka.dad and a robot will tell you the answer.
