world-map.svg: where it came from ================================= Made with Natural Earth. Free vector and raster map data at naturalearthdata.com. Source data (Natural Earth 5.2.0-pre, from github.com/nvkelso/natural-earth-vector, November 2026): - geojson/ne_110m_admin_0_countries.geojson: the country shapes. - geojson/ne_50m_admin_0_countries.geojson: label points only, for the smallest countries and territories (Singapore, Malta, Hong Kong, the Channel Islands and friends), which are drawn as dots because 1:110m has no room for them. Licence: public domain. Natural Earth's terms of use: "All versions of Natural Earth raster + vector map data found on this website are in the public domain. You may use the maps in any manner, including modifying the content and design, electronic dissemination, and offset printing." (https://www.naturalearthdata.com/about/terms-of-use/). No permission is needed and no credit is required; it is given anyway, with thanks. What was done to it, for iszacka.dad: - projected with the Natural Earth projection (Šavrič, Jenny, Patterson, Petrovič and Hurni), into a 1000 × 435 viewBox, cropped to 57°S to 84°N; - Antarctica left out (nobody has checked from there yet, and it took up a lot of room); - simplified (Douglas-Peucker, 0.3 px), with islands under about 1 px² dropped, and coordinates rounded to 0.1 px; - every shape keyed by its ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code in a data-cc attribute (Natural Earth's ISO_A2_EH), with Northern Cyprus drawn as part of CY and Somaliland as part of SO, because those are the codes visitors from there arrive with. Each country shape also carries Natural Earth's label point (data-x, data-y), where vibes take off. Borders are Natural Earth's de facto ones and imply no opinion about any of them. The map's only job is to light up when someone, somewhere, asks whether Zack is a dad.
